The Badminton Academy was created in 1999, some 15 years ago now, and was awarded Performance Center Status by Badminton England in 2006.

We have always strived to provide professional and constructive lessons with all the students, and even in the very early days of the academy being set up, we have churned out a large number of successful players who intially came to us as beginners.

In 2011 we recieved a grant from Badminton England, and along with funding from William Edwards School and Thurrock Council, we were given permission to build a state of the art badminton facility which boasts 8 courts, a balcony, a gym and both male and female changing rooms.

The Badminton Academy's second home was opened in September 2012 and now is the home for our enthusiastic and talented players to develop their skills and become the champions of tomorrow.

2014/2015 was our best year yet, with a whole host of juniors winning Forza Tournament Events. National Tournaments and our older players playing in Senior National Tournaments, with great success.

As well as Allison Pearson, our Head Coach who has a wealth of experience, we have a fantastic team of coaches who provide a encouraging and vibrant environment for all our students to train in.

We provide a vast range of sessions throughout the week catering for all abilities. Each session is run with passion and is aimed to provide you the very best coaching in Essex, enabling you to fulfill your full potential. With sessions now run at David Lloyd, Basildon, Basildon Sporting Village, Basildon and the William Edwards School, Grays, there is now a huge opportunity to come along to one of our sessions. All you have to do is get in touch with us.

We always strive for the best, and we want to make sure that each year is more and more successful than the last. Nothing makes us more proud than seeing our students winning titles, it makes us more commited to make their dreams come true and develop them into potential world class athletes.
